Our run to Sammy Miller’s museum on Sunday 12th May was blessed with good weather and 7 Surrey Hants section members turned up with six bikes. On the day there was also an autojumble so the museum was very busy, but on arrival we were met by Sammy Miller himself who directed us as a group to some parking on hard standing at the side of the museum. Everyone else was parked in the adjacent field. A line up of six Douglas bikes created a good deal of interest
After a visit to the autojumble and the café for some much need refreshments, we spent a couple of hours in the museum. I must say the standard restorations would put most bikes in the shadows, but then we all use our bikes and ride them regularly, which I think is far more important.
