No. 7 Bleeding Heart

Application
Used on the more expensive veteran models, ie: those with clutch and kickstart, 1912-1914. Also used on the 4hp model to 1923.
Position
On headstock of frame.


No. 8 Douglas Shield

Application
Used on standard models up to 1912 and Ladies model to 1913. Then replaced by No. 7 ‘Bleeding Heart’ – see above.

No. 9 The Douglas (Brick Red)

Application
The brick red Douglas transfer was applied to models built from 1909-1912, including the Ladies model. Prior to 1909 ‘The Douglas’ was used, but in a curved and longer flowing design. The club has never stocked this earlier design although some members may have examples.

No. 10 Douglas (Black with White Edges)

Application
This design was used on some DT and post-vintage models, although it does not appear to be very common. Also used on 90 Plus and black/silver Mark 5 models.
Position
DT and post-vintage models – on the tank and rear mudguard.
90 Plus – tank and rear mudguard.
Mark 5 – tank, black/silver models only.


No. 11 Douglas (White with Black Edges)

Application
This design was used for over 40 years. It appeared on 2.3/4hp, 3.1/2hp, and 4hp models from 1913 (except model N which used No. 9, above, on the tank) and on SW and DT models, and the Bantam from 1934 – 1937. It was also used on 348cc, 498cc, 598cc and 733-750cc models up to 1936 and on the T35 (Mark 1) and Marks 3, 4 and 5 (except black/silver Mark 5 models – see No. 10 above and No. 13 below).
Position
2.3/4hp, 3.1/2hp, and 4hp from 1913 – on the tank and rear mudguard.
SW, DT and Bantam – on the tank and rear mudguard.
348cc, 498cc, 598cc and 733-750cc models – on the tank and rear mudguard.
T35 (Mark 1) and Marks 3, 4 and 5 (except black/silver Mark 5) – on the tank.
Marks 4 and 5 (except black/silver Mark 5) – on the rear mudguard strengthening bridge.


No. 12 Douglas (Gold with White Edges)

Application
This was used on some vintage DT5/6 and SW5/6 models. In 1936, this design appears to have been used on all models except the Bantam.

This transfer was used on the blue panels of many but not all saddle tank models, from 1932.

This appears on machines built between 1935 and 1938, and on 80 Plus and black Dragonfly models.
